-Frequently Asked Questions-

  • Do I have to pay a deposit when I Book an appointment?

-Yes. When booking online, phone, e-mail, or through person, you will be expected to pay a non-refundable 50% deposit in order to hold your spot for the amount of time for service requested. Please Note that makeup services will not be booked online , only through email or phone. This is due to majority of the makeup applications (especially bridal) may take all day or most of the time in time, and some may require me to travel. I would like to book this service this way because it is easier to rearrange my schedule myself. Thank you so much. Also it will be easier to discuss as in what looks you are trying to achieve and how long that look will take. Please note There is a $2 charger per mile outside a twenty - five mile radius from Virginia Beach, VA

  • What is your cancellation policy?

-Please understand ,our cancellation policy is a 48 required notice of cancellation. This gives CeCe enough time to be able to fill the spot, or make any changes needed to the schedule. If any appt. is cancelled after time given, a 20% fee of total serviced will be applied.

  • What exactly is Microblading?

-Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hairstroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and color. It deposits pigment into upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. Microblading artists are not necessarily tattoo artists, and vice versa, because the techniques require different training

  • What are Ombré Brows?

-This technique can also be called ombré powder brows because it fills the brows using a more traditional tattooing method, with longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for color boosts closer to the 12-18 month mark. The brow is also fuller and more defined or dramatic than with the hair-stroke method. It involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a color and defined shape.

  • What are Powder Brows?

-Powder Brow Tattoo is a traditional method of cosmetic tattooing in which a tattoo machine is used. When properly applied, using a dilution solution, eyebrows look soft and natural, contrary to a “magic marker” brow look. More pigment is implanted than with Microblading and color boosts are usually needed in 2 years.

  • Does Permanent Makeup Hurt?

When thinking about it, most people assume permanent eyeliner is the most painful procedure.   This is not the reality.   There are topical, over the counter anesthetics that knowledgeable permanent makeup technicians,as myself, use regularly. I always start with a pre-procedure anesthetic that is placed on the eyeliner ,lips or eyebrows, with a Q-tip and then occluded with a film or wrap  anywhere from 10-20 minutes, depending on the product.   This will limit the pain associated with the first needle pass. Permanent lip work is the most painful procedure but well worth the effort.

  • Is the Permanent Makeup Really Permanent or only Semi-Permanent?

Like other tattoos, cosmetic tattoos will eventually fade. The good news is that permanent makeup fades gradually, so there won't be any huge, noticeable difference all of a sudden. ... The reason permanent cosmetics are called “permanent” is because the pigment is tattooed into the skin and can't be removed by washing.

  • What does PMU stand for?

Permanent Makeup Artist.

  • What is High Frequency?

-High frequency (also known as the Tesla high frequency current) All high frequency facial machines function by using a glass high frequency electrode which comes in many different shapes and sizes to treat various contours of the face and body. When applied to the surface of the skin, a mild electrical current passes through the neon or argon gas filled glass electrode causing it to submit a subtle glow and buzzing noise. The benefit from using this helps to treat and prevent stubborn acne, shrink enlarged pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decongestant puffy eyes, and fades dark eye circles.

  • What kind of Makeup do you use for your Applications?

-I mainly use high end makeup in my kit with a majority of it being cruelty free (which i love) I will have some drug store brands mixed in there some of the time, but hey if its good quality for a good price, its mine :) I am always looking out for the next best thing though.
